This painting isn’t really about flowers, but about the fact that truth cannot be buried. Sunflowers are like a symbolic portrait of humanity. They grow out of darkness, reach for the light, bend under the weight of life, age, and lose their petals. Yet they leave behind the most important thing — seeds. That is their mission: not to avoid withering, but to give life forward. As a Mexican proverb says, “They tried to bury us, but they didn’t know we were seeds.”
