“Viribus unitis” (By Joint Efforts) is the title, displayed on the facade of the Chernivtsi Town Hall, reflecting the Latin motto of the Habsburgs, symbolizing unity and cooperation. Although the title may seem pretentious for a painting in which a man ploughs the land with a pair of oxen, it is in this simple but important and honest work that the essence of joint efforts is embodied. It is not only about physical strength but also about sensitivity and coordination.
