The Sky That Cannot Be Killed

This painting is on fiberglass taken from a kamikaze drone I collected in downtown Kyiv, Ukraine. It is based on a photograph I took along the road near Kyiv. On the back of the work, I cut out a section to reveal the original fiberglass from the drone fragment. A weapon of destruction thus becomes a canvas for art. The vibrant, textured sky is an ode to the beauty and hope that endure even after devastation. It testifies to the belief that beauty, like life, always prevails.
